In this study unit the focus lies on the following

Learning outcomes
Knowledge level:
You can define health psychology as a field of
knowledge and explain central health psychology
theories. You can analyze and reflect on various
health psychology theories and their usefulness in
the behavior change process. You can give an
account of positive psychology, as well as its
relation to health work and behavior change. You
can describe concepts such as body awareness,
compassion and self-compassion. You can explain
various health behaviors and risk behaviors such
as stress, sleep, physical activity/inactivity,
eating behavior.
Skill Level:
You can plan, implement and evaluate the
usefulness of the mental training process.
You can plan and carry out a case study, which has
a health-promoting purpose and uses theories from
health psychology.
Attitude:
You understand your ethical responsibilities and
are aware of what falls within your area of
expertise.

The examinations contribute to the final grade as
follows:
Examination 1: Exam: 40%
Examination 2: Practical exercise 20%
Examination 3: Case study 40%
(examinations include written examination tests,
