Competency aims
The aim of the course is that students are able to prove basic knowledge in research methods that are relevant to the area of occupational therapy and can apply basic research methods in studies.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to
- know and understand basic research concepts, designs, data collection and data analyze methods with both quantitative and qualitative research approaches and relevance to the research and developmental work within the area of occupational therapy.
- read, analyze and critically review research articles, reports and thesis in Swedish, Finnish and English within the area of occupational therapy.
- understand basic principles in research ethics.
