Competency aims

The module includes the competencies to work as a
development and change actor and to work in the
occupational therapy process based on a person-
centered approach. The module covers the general
competencies of local and global social-,
innovation- and development- as well as
communicative- and social competences. You have
advanced knowledge of the professions work process
that supports a structured and evidence-based
approach. You apply flexible principles and
methods for social entrepreneurship in order to
promote activity justice at different levels in
society. You analyze the imbalance in occupational
opportunities for vulnerable groups in society.
You act proactively as a change actor and social
innovator in order to create constructive change
for individuals and groups´ activities. Together
with the users, you identify, implement and
evaluate projects with an activity perspective
that promotes lasting solutions in everyday life.
You create contact within and between local
networks and act as a bridge builder in social
innovation projects. You act consciously in
different social environments and can critically
reflect on your own role in the context. You drive
development and social innovations user-oriented
and based on an ethical and economic impact
assessment.
The competence described in the module is
consolidated and strengthened through practical
application.

Knowledge:
You have in-depth knowledge of development and
work processes within the profession for
supporting a structured and evidence-based
approach.
You have knowledge of project planning in relation
to product and service development.
You have knowledge of project leadership.
You have basic knowledge of project resourcing.
You have knowledge of project evaluation.
You have in-depth knowledge of co-creation
processes.
You have knowledge of ethical issues in relation
to user participation.

Skill:
You use trend watching and benchmarking as a basis
for your project.
You apply the basic principles for project
planning in relation to product and / or service
development.
As a basis for a co-creative project, you can
independently identify challenges in occupation
with a selected group in society.
In consultation with people in the selected group,
you can define and prioritize the problems as a
basis for creating social benefit.
You can plan and implement a co-creative project,
with a clear occupation and user perspective, to
solve occupational challenges that the group has.
You can use different process tools in the co-
creative process to structure the project work.
You can use evaluation tools as a basis for a
systematic evaluation of the project's results.
You can, together with the users, critically
examine the value-creating process in the project
plan created.
