The aim of the course is to learn how to use Finnsih
in basic situations within society and at work.
Level A2

The course is mainly planned for students from Åland
who have basic knowledge of Finnish from school.

At the end of the course the student is expected to
be able to use Finnish in basic language situation
within society and at work.

Basic oral presentation (within the students own
field of study)

Finnish level A1
The language of instruction is Swedish.

Material provided by the teacher.

• Lectures - 20 hours
• Practical exercises - 20 hours
• Individual studies - 45 hours
• Internet-based studies - 50 hours

• Total workload of the course: 135 hours
• Of which autonomous studies: 135 hours

To pass the course the student should pass the
following examinations:
Oral presentation 20%
Oral test 30%
Basic CV 10%
Text - presenting yourself and your studies 5%
E-mail 5%
Written exam 30%
