Competency aims

The aim of the course is that student will have
knowledge of different phases in developmental and
traumatic crisis and knowledge of disaster
psychology and professional support. Student is
expected to understand application of crisis
interventions in social- and health care. The aim
is also to provide students with learning
experiences that will both encourage an
understanding of the role of project work as a
mechanism for development.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to
* identify different kind of crisis
* understand the impact and meaning of crisis
* know how to support people in different kind of
crisis
* define and describe different kinds of
professional support and crisis interventions
* plan, accomplish and evaluate a project in co-
operation with others

To be able to pass the course demands 50 %
participation on lectures and compulsory
participation on projectwork.
