Competency aims
The aim of the course is that student practices
under
supervisor
in
care of all women in birth and their babies
including normal
and
abnormal labors. Midwife student understands
his/her
responsibility
in delivery care and is capable to work
semiprofessional and
have the
ability to motivate her decision-taking to
theory knowledge.
The student have knoledge of the independent
responsibility in
midwifery.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able to
take
care of woman in birth, fetus or the newborn in
critical
situations.
Midwife student understand her responsibility
in
semiprofessional
team.
Course contents
practical studies in high-risk delivery-care with
a
midwife
supervisor.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Family health care part 1, practical studies in
maternaty health
care and puerperal care.
Theory and practical course in Midwifery in
delivery care part
1,
normal delivery.
Theory course in midwifery in delivery part 2 -
abnormal
delivery
and participation in ordinary examination.
Theory course in midwifery and the unborn and
newborn child.
