Competency aims

The aim of the course is to give the student a
basic
knowledge of Finnish and ability to manage in
everyday
situations, to practice the pronunciation and
vocabulary by reading everyday life texts.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to
be able to act in basic everyday situations and
to
have a basic knowledge of the Finnish language;
to
know some basic structures and for example to
manage
verb conjugation in present tense.
The student is expected at the end of the course
- know the basic principles of Finnish
pronunciation
- know numbers and the clock
- know how to ask and answer simple questions
about
himself/herself, studies and work
- know the basic principals of Finnish

- know how to communicate in simple cafeteria

Welcome to the FFB I online course. THe course is
on Arcada´s language time: Monday morning and
Wednesday afternoon.

Attendance in classes is compulsory.

Dictionary and coursebook required.

Teaching language: English and Finnish.
