    various research designs are used in Nursing

    critically evaluate research designs and their

  • Apply scientific literature in your own work as
    well as use it as reference material in your own
    knowledge development work (thesis). (Skills)
  • Justify for research methodology choices in
    relation to the chosen thesis topic (Skills)
  • Understand, consider, apply and promote
    research ethics as well as comply with ethically

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected

  • Read, understand and critically review
    scientific literature.
  • Search, manage and critically evaluate academic
    articles and research in your own professional
    field (Nursing).
  • Know and understand the basic concepts relating
    to quantitative and qualitative research design
    and data, as well as understand how and when they
    can be used.
  • Know and understand the relevance of Design,
    Data collection, Data analysis in the field of
    research and in the development of working life
    (within the Nursing profession).
  • Apply a relevant research design in a thesis,
    with application of suitable data collection and
    analysis methods.
  • Can report and critically argue in writing and
    have mastered the technique of referencing.
