Competency aims

The aim of the course is that the student, at the
end of the course, has a deeper understanding for conceptual models in occupational
therapy. The student has also an understanding of
how models can support the practical work in
occupational therapy.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to:
-explain how theories in occupational therapy is
connected to occupation.
- examine and give an account of some articles
which focus on
theories in occupational therapy

Course contents

theories and conceptual models in occupational therapy: occupational adaptation model, ecological model, PEOP, occupational functioning model, biomechanical model, SI-model, NDT,CMOP-E, MOHO, Valmo model, Kawa model

Basic courses in occupational therapy

Additional information

Compulsory precence at seminars and groupwork.
