Competency aims

The aim of the course is to introduce the student in
the health care system in Finland

  • to give first aid in different acute situations
  • healthcare organisation and content

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to

  • recognize the organisation and planning system
    for the Finnish healthcare system
    -read and understand public health science
    literature
  • know health promoting activities in the society
    Have basic skills in resuscitation and use the
    automatic defibrillator
    -give first aid in different diseases and
    accidents
  • be aware of the prehospital systems historic and
    actual situation in Finland
