Competency aims
The aim of the course is to present and discuss different types of qualitative methods, their background, aim and use.
The aim of the second part of the course is to present and discuss different types of quantitative methods, their background, aim and use.
Learning outcomes
The student will learn to identify a research problem, define an objective and choose a suitable qualitative research method to present and analyse empirical material.
The student will learn how to define a research problem, how to create a measurement instrument based on prior knowledge, how to sample respondents, and finally, how to code and analyze collected data.
