Competency aims

The aim of the course is to give the student an
introduction to project-oriented work as a way of
organizing his/her work in a systematical way.
Both difficulties and strengths with project
teams
or organizations will be discussed. Examples of
different process models and computer-based
project tools are introduced.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to:
- understand group dynamics ... how individuals
and teams work. What is team work?
- know how to deal with conflicts
- discuss management and leadership ... what is
the role of a project manager?
- contribute to project planning
- know how to use and benefit from computer based
project tools
- understand why project phases are important
- contribute in project meetings and practice
meeting techniques
- produce project plans and project applications

- What is a project? Concepts and definitions.
- The process: group dynamics, team work, group
thinking and roles, leaderships.
- Project planning, Project tools, project models
- Examples of real IT and media projects
