Competency aims

The aim is to focus on the definitions, concepts
and frameworks that underpin the study of
contemporary tourism, keeping in mind the
importance of sustainable development.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to understand the unity of tourism
industry; which actors are involved with tourism,
what are their responsibilities and how do these
actors interact with each other. The student will
also learn to identify different types of tourism
and understand current challenges,
opportunities, trends and ethical issues related
to modern tourism.
