Competency aims

Provides the students with cutting edge knowledge
and strategic understanding of the development
trends in media technology considering media
production and consumption. The student will also
have skills and experience of using media
technology in his work.

Learning outcomes

1. Knowledge the new technologies and their
possibilities in media especially Social Media,
Web Technologies, Streaming Media, Online
distribution for Smartphones/Tablets and Cloud
Services
2. Knowledge and experience of collecting and
organizing relevant information with RSS-
aggregators as Google Reader, iGoogle, NetVibes
3. Have experience of using social media hubs for
different purposes as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr,
Youtube
4. Have experience on using, editing and
administrating social media tools as Blogs,
Wikipedia, CMS
5. Have experience of collaboration and personal
tools as Google Docs, Zoho, Dropbox, Evernote
6. Have knowledge in and experience of using and
setting up video streaming tools as Bambuser,
uStream
7. Have basic knowledge of using and producing
apps for AppStores for Smartphones and Tablets
8. Have basic knowledge of how to benefit from
Cloud Tools and Services and when to consider them
9. Cutting edge knowledge and strategic
understanding of media technology

A bachelor degree and at least three years work experience gained
