The aim of the course for the student is to
- Understand the different processes and phases of
event production
- Develop skills needed to produce events
- Develop insights into the event and festival
field

Learning outcomes

Once you have completed the study unit you will
have
Knowledge
You master the basics of creating cultural events.
You are familiar with event production and know
the basics of technical production. You can take
advantage of the digitalisation possibilities in
the production process in a critical way.
In addition, you can plan, organize, evaluate and
develop an event and the activities around it. You
identify the ethical principles that govern
cultural production and understand their impact on
sustainability development.

Skill
After completing the study unit, you understand
the different processes and phases around event
production and can in a basic way account for the
main lines within culture and event production.
You understand the different processes and phases
around event production and have insights into the
event and festival field.

Approach
You are flexible and responsive to the creative
processes and have a curiosity and want to try new
solutions.

Course contents

How does event production work in practice? How
are cultural events planned, organized,
evaluated and developed? During the course, we go
through the various phases and sub-areas of event
production and how to produce events in a
successful way. The emphasis is on the
theoretical, which in practical exercises is
tested and compared with how it actually works at
events. During the course the students will plan
and implement events (in groups).
The Events are a part of the course's
examinations, and will be assessed.

5. Volonteer work at a festival, 27th and 28th of
May 2023 5/100

For an approved course 50 points are required.
The rating scale is as follows:
