Competency aims

The aim of the course is to acquaint the
student with French pronunciation, basic French
grammar and vocabulary. The aim of the course
is furthermore to give the student some
knowledge of French culture and customs and the
French speaking countries.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able to
-master some of the basic principles of French
-ask simple questions.
-answer simple questions about himself/herself
and his/her family.
- form simple declarative sentences in the
present tense both orally and in writing.
-understand the main points of spoken French
(=slowly spoken) when the topics are familiar.
