Competency aims
The aim of the course is to give the student a firm understanding of
production tools and methods together with an ability to use the
underlying theoretical concepts in real production scenarios.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be familiar with
the basic concepts of audio and video production (in the field of
Film and Television)
Course contents
Sound:
- Microphones, amplifiers, the mixer and effects
- The sound properties of the video camera.
- Basics of ENG sound work
- Working in a sound studio
- Recoding techniques and mic positioning
- Digital technologies, sampling and synchronisation
Video technology:
- exposure
- picture composition
- using the basic functions of the video camera
- fieldwork principles and best practices
