The aim of the course is that the student develops her professional
identity

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, completing your studies, you deepen
your proficiency through a thesis. Under thesis performs an own
development within production, in projects or in continuous
operations in your industry.

The aim of the thesis is that you develop and show your ability to
apply your knowledge and skills in practical expert tasks related to
professional studies.

According Polytechnics (9.5.2003/351), polytechnics have to
responsible for granting such higher education for vocational expert
information based on working life and
employment development as well as on research and artistic and
cultural starting points, to support individual professional
development
and to conduct applied research and development work serving
polytechnic education and support work and regional development
and takes into account the economic structure in region and to
pursue artistic activities. Then polytechnics to fulfill their duties, they
shall promote lifelong
learning.

The thesis is a final project that includes 15 credits.

The thesis should be anchored in the workplace and should be
relevant to the development of the industry. Specifically, it could
mean that
you organize an event or is involved has its own
responsibility in any organization's operations. A good thesis must
contain relevant results for
people in your chosen field. It may be e.g.
improvement suggestions for working practices in the workplace you
have involved in. Much of today's work requires this ability to find
information, plan, execute, and analyze and
develop. The work proves that you can combine the
practical professional skills with theoretical knowledge in a way that
is relevant to your professional field.
