Competency aims

The aim of the course is

  • Become familiar with the concept of probability
    and be able to
    solve practical problems in the subject.
  • Understand what derivative means and to use
    in the calculations.
  • Become familiar with roots and logarithms and
    deepen their knowledge of differential calculus.
  • Learn how to solve trigonometric equations
    and become familiar with progressions.
  • Learn to integrate and calculate areas and
    volumes.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to

  • Understand the concept of probability
  • Perform calculations with simple
    probability distributions, especially
    normal distribution.
  • Understand the concepts of limit, continuity and
    derivative.

  • Differentiating composite functions
  • Know the trigonometric Recursion
  • Solve practical problems using arithmetic
    and geometric sequences and series.
  • Know the concepts of primitive functions and
    integral.
  • Able to perform area and volume calculations
