Competency aims

The aim of the course is that students participate
in a real software project and in parallel may study
the subject software engineering.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to to participate in and independently
act as leader for various software development
projects. Students may effectively realize the
benefits of a structured and systematic approach
and working methods - to understand what software
engineering means.

Course contents

- Software development in the form of projects
(project work, project management)
- Process Models with focus on agile methods
- Phases in the software development:
requirements, design, implementation, reviews,
testing, maintenance
- Software Development Tools (CASE-tools)
- Quality and measurement
- Focus on engineering problems

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Various programming courses (e.g. Java, web
programming)
