Competency aims
The aim of the course is to highlight the basic mechanisms that influence and rule the international economy today. It also focuses on practical issues relating to international supply chains, in particular for companies that recently have begun their internationalisation process
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to
1)describe central trade theories
2)interpret changes in international trade
3)compare economic development in different countries
4)analyse how trade cycles are transmitted between countries
5)describe practical steps when starting international trade
6)trace reasons for international direct investments
7)analyse companies´ distribution strategies in the Baltic Sea region
