Competency aims

The aim of the course is that the student
understands the service design process and know
how to use key methods. She/he understands
design thinking as part of service design. Can
act based on a person-centred understanding and
understand how partners and other stakeholders
are involved in the service development
process.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course you are expected to:
Know the key elements of service design and
carry out and lead substantially creative
development work that utilizes the means of
service design
Know how to develop flexible service design in interprofessional teams
understand how to ensure that the service meets
the user's needs
Be able to use a person-centered approach in
the service design
Understand, critically evaluate and be able to choose
tools for implementing a successful change
process
Be responsible toward society and
sustainability

Prerequisites and co-requisites

A bachelor degree and at least three years work
experience gained after completing the higher
education degree

Additional information

Note that the Leadership for Nordic Healthcare
programme is entirely online, and therefore this
course will consist of online activities only.
The course requires active commitment each week,
as peer-learning and self-driven learning
activities are the foundation for deep learning.
The course will be held together with the Swedish speaking masterprogram.
