Course contents

This learning module helps student to reflect
upon changes in personal leadership behavior,
as
evidenced by expanded self-knowledge, team-
behavior, cultural awareness, and systems
thinking. Further in this module we are
focusing
on how to grow owns own creative and critical
thinking skills required of successful
leadership
and effecting organizational change. Following
content can be found in this module: Personal
Leadership, valuebased leadership,
commiunication, team leadership, power,
organisational culture.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

A bachelor degree and at least two years work
experience gained after completing the higher
education degree

Additional information

Master program Leadership for Nordic Healthcare
is entirely online, and therefore all study
activities consist of online activities only.
Each study unit requires active commitment each
week, as peer-learning and self-driven learning
activities are the foundation for deep
learning. Students receive regularly ?triggers?
(complex questions), guidance and resourceful
lectures as a
pedagogical framework. The ?triggers? are real-
life connected and Nordic in their design and
the resourceful lectures are a blend between
theoretical discussions and Nordic guest
lectures. During all learning activities in
this master program there will be a continuous
focus
on social, teaching and cognitive presence.
Furthermore, building a sense of community
among learners is essential for developing
common
purposes and inquiry in each learning unit. The
purpose of highlighting the learning community
in this master education rely on the
assumption that in order to create the
conditions for inquire and qualitative
interactions (reflective and threaded
discussions) there
needs to be a collaboratively starting point.

To pass the course the student should pass the
following examinations:
As groupwork: Create a leadership project plan
in
order to solve a problem/challenge in the
setting
of Nordic healthcare. (50% of final grade)
Individually: Exam about different leadership
theories. (30% of final grade)

Individually: Personal professional portfolio
(20%
of final grade)
