The aim of the course is that the student shows
scientific knowledge and is able to
independently,
with supervision, carry through and report a
master
thesis aiming to develop working life.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is
expected
to be able to plan and realize a developmental-
(or part of a research) project in
collaboration with the working life. The
student
is able to independently plan, carry through
and
report his/her study within the own scientific
area. The student is expected to be able to
argument for his/her choices and show a
critical
scientific attitude.
Course contents
To plan, to complete and present Masters thesis in
collaboration with the supervisor. The model of
group supervision is used. Scientific reasoning as
respondent and opponent.

The timetable of the course
Tidtabellen för grupphandledning och
masterarbetsprocessen planeras tillsammans med
handledaren utgående från studentens
idé(seminarium).
Masterarbetet rekommenderas utföras inom något av Arcadas projekt, eller som uppdrag från arbetslivet (om du har en idé om ett utvecklingsarbete i anslutning till t.ex.
din arbetsplats, kom och diskutera
idén med examensansvariga eller någon av
överlärarna). Alla masterarbeten skall ha en
ifylld blankett för projekterat arbete (se
separat dokument på itslearning, eller Start).
Masterarbetet omfattar en process i tre steg
som syftar till att stöda och underlätta
arbetsgången. Dessa steg är
1) intensions-/idéfas,
2)planfas och
3) framförande av masterarbetet (se
bilaga för masterarbetets processbeskrivning).
