Learning outcomes

The student gets a clearer understandning of acute diseases. The student gains knowledge of various methods of medical and surgical treatment as well as new technologies to support vital organ functions.

Course contents

Planning and organization of intensive care units.
Assessment and monitoring of cardiovascular and respiratory functions.
Respiratory support.
General aspects of managing critically ill patientes on different intensive care wards.
