Learning outcomes

The student has the knowledge to perform primary and secondary examinations of the patient and the patient`s vital signs. The student has the skills to treat and transport the patient so that the patient`s condition will not get worse. The student is expected to be able to start basic cpr. The student can assess the patients needs and consult a doctor, document and report on the patients illnes or trauma.

Course contents

The course is based on the course in emergency medical equipment. The students shall use the equipment they have learnt to use in the course "emergency medical equipment" and use it in the care of the patient.
