Once you have completed the study unit you will:
You have knowledge about the system of psychiatric and mental health care. You have knowledge about mental health and mental health disturbances. You understand the meaning of health promotion in mental and dependency psychiatric care. You have knowledge based in caring theory about central caring acts -and activities in psychiatric care.

You understand the specific aspects of caring process in psychiatric caring and can apply it in caring. You are able to identify, meet and take care of patients suffering from
different kind of mental problems and illnesses.
You can participate in planning, realizing and
evaluation of patient?s care, furthermore You have a capacity to create an individual plan for patient care. You understand the meaning of caring relationship, create a relation to an own patient, furthermore You have capacity to use the self to promote patient's mental health. You can use different digital possibilities in mental health care.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The theory course Home and Psychiatric Health Care Setting has to be compleated before the practical training.
Medication calculation has to be completed at the latest 2 weeks before starting the practical training.
