Competency aims

The aim of the course is to develop competence in healthpromotion at different levels (individual, group and society) by deepening and broading the promotive point of view. To increase the competence in actions of development in order to be able to plan, implement and evaluate healthpromotion projects. The aim is also to increase communicative and social competence by using creative workmethods that aims to promote wellbeing in worklife.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to:
Understand the central concepts are able to apply them within healthpromotion
Identify needs of healthpromotive actions in various context.
Discuss and analyze health factors and resource focused way of working in worklife and in other areas.

Has tried drama as an creative tool that focuses on that the student:
- Is able to connect theoretical concepts to praxis in an creative way.
- gets aware of the meaning of creative tools in healthpromoting at workplaces.

Course contents

- Examination of healthpromotive projects
- Lectures about the central concepts and other important parts of health-promotion
- Drama pedagogics as working method

Assessment requirements

To pass the course the student should pass the following examinations and the examinations contribute to the final grade as follows:
Examination 1 Central conceptions (10%)
Examination 2 Project inspection (40%)
Examination 3 Drama (40%)
Examination 4 Self evaluation (10%)
(examinations include written examination tests, demonstrations and presentations, reports and productions, essays, and also presence at specified occasions)
