The aim of the course Anatomy and physiology, 4p,
is
to create an understanding of the structure of
the
human body
and its healthy functioning and to give the
skills
needed to be
able to recognize illness.
The aim of the course First aid, 1p, is to
introduce
first aid in a
way that make the student able to understand the
occurrence of
accidents, emergencies and prevention of these

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student is expected
to
be able to:
Related to Anatomy and physiology:

-describe the structure of the human body and
name
the organs
in Swedish and in scientific terms

-understand and shortly describe the functions of
the
different
organ systems; the musculoskeletal system, the
circulatory
system, the respiratory system, the digestive
system,
the urinary
system, the reproductive system, the endocrine
organs, the
nervous system, and the sense organs.

Related to First aid:
- make a survey of risk groups, situations and
course
of events
in accidents
- participate in care related to attacks of
illness
resuscitation
- be able to resuscitate

Course contents

Anatomy and physiology:
The structure and function of all organs of the
human
body.

First aid:
- behavior in emergency situations
- resuscitation
- first aid in illness, emergencies and
prevention of
them
