Competency aims
Basic knowlidge of maternity care, pregnancy, delivery, puerperium. Basic knowlidge of risk factors in a woman`s health.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to have gained knowledge about pregnancy, delivery and puerperium as well as the public health system in maternity care; to meet a woman with gynecological health problems with a caring attitude and provide appropriate treatment
Course contents
Students learn to meet a pregnant woman and learn to know how to observe the woman and foetus during normal pregnancy, delivery and puerperium. Students learn to be aware of risk factors in a woman`s health at different ages of her life. After the course the student can better support a woman in her health problems.
