Competency aims

The aim of the course is the student know when to
call for help, the basics in first aid, how to use
the defribrillator and know how to give first aid
when accidents occur.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to perform first aid on:

-Action taken to assist in an accident or attack
of illness
- Basics of emergency first aid
- First aid of an unconscious casualty
- Basic resuscitation
- Foreign object in the airway
- Disorder of circulation (shock)
- Controlling bleeding
- Wounds
- Most common attacks of illness
- Burns, scalds and injuries caused by
electricity
- Joint injuries and fractures
- Poisonings
