Learning outcomes

The student has an understading of the principles and methods used in occupational therapy for the elderly and is able to use this knowledge in rehabilitation procedures. In addition the student is expected to have a knowledge of theories regarding the ageing process and be able to apply this in occupational therapy interventions. The student should be able to assess occupational performance in old age and plan the intervention so that all the important occupational areas are taken into comsideration. The student should be able to cooperate with relatives and other professionals during the rehabilitation process.
