Competency aims
Students develop their clinical skills and can select and use appropriate physiotherapy assessment and treatment methods:
-
Students can use different physical test, like balance, endurance and strength, in an appropriate way in practice.
-
Students know the massage physiological effects and can apply the basic grips in classical massage in an appropriate manner.
During the course, students receive the skills to perform an attitude survey and make a basic gait analysis.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should:
- Understand the purpose and be able to use
different techniques considering measurement of
Range of Motion. - be able to perform the relevant tests in practice.
- respond to a client in a professional way in a testing and treatment situation
- Understand the assessment's importance for the evaluation of movement, activity and function and its relationship to human health.
- To assess the use and application of classical massage.
- Are expected to carry out a restraining and gait analysis and draw relevant conclusions from these.

Course contents
Theoretical foundations of physiotherapy assessment.
Assessment of physical performance and physical activity.
Practical exercises in massage, measurement of joint mobility, testing of muscle strength and performance of specific muscle stretching.
Practical exercises to analyze posture and normal gait.
