This study unit states the following
competence / competencies in focus:
The module covers the skills to work in
the occupational therapy process based on a
person-centered
approach and to work as
development and change actor.

You have basic theoretical knowledge of
the basic concepts of person and capability.
You have basic knowledge of the profession
work process, about person-centered work
and its significance for the person's
opportunities
to occupation and participation in various
surroundings.
You have basic knowledge to analyze
the relationship between person, activity and
environment and its impact on everyday life
activities.
The module includes 5 credits of internship.

General competence:
Competence in technological, ethics and
sustainability, communication and social skills
skills: You become familiar with different
technical and
digital tools for occupational therapy
intervention.
You can consider ethical and sustainability issues
in
different work processes.
You can consciously communicate and constructively
present your views in different theoretical and
practical study contexts.

After completing the study unit, you can / have:

Knowledge:
You have a theoretical understanding of the

concept

You have a basic understanding of practice models
in order to account for the relationship between
person, activity and environment and its
impact on everyday activities.

evaluation as a basis for the occupational
therapist's

documentation
in social and health care.

Skill
You can analyze, grade and customize an activity
to identify what abilities and skills
different activities require.
You can explain the central content of one
person-centered approach.
You can relate to how a person-centered
working methods affect the treatment.
You can explain the different parts of the
occupational therapy process.
You can define what reliability and validity are
and understand the significance of these
in relation to the assessment methods used.
