The student develops her/his competence in the
contextual clinical care. The student forms
her/his competense in the care of the medical-
surgical patient.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is
expected
to be able to:
- use evidence based caring science in the care
of the medical
and surgical patient - take care of the patient with medical or
surgical problems - understand how the health resources and the
health obstacles
interact in the medical-surgical care of the
adult and elderly
patients - understand the basics of the perioperative
care

- Central caring activities and examinations in
the care of the medical-surgical patient - The decision process in health care;
planning, implementation and assessment of the
caring - Medication administration
- The basics of the pre, and post
operative care of the patient
