  medical care
• Students can understand in a deeper way how
  care science is part of the clinical
  reality, with the patient's needs and situation
  in the center

Skills and Abilities:

• Students can independently judge a patient
  condition in an emergency situation, as well as
  observe changes in vital life functions and
  determine the need for care
• Students can independently in emergency
  situations begin the care of a patient
• Students have the ability to understand
  aspects of patient safety in the ER setting
• Students understand the importance of working
  in teams in
  emergency situations
• Ability to listen and meet patients and
  related issues and concerns.

• Ability to take the individual into

At the end of the course the student is
expected
to be able to:

• verbalize, discuss and participate
  during
  contact days in the simulation/skill
  development center. Theme: main
  principles,
  responsibility of the professional nurse
  when
  caring for clients in the emergency room
  setting. (Additional learning objectives
  can be
  found for each module on the learning
  platform)

The course is a continuation of Krävande vård
Part 1 where ABC was the theme. This part
continues with
parts D and E. The starting point is to learn
assess the need for care.
The following themes are raised from an
emergency
room perspective:

• The internal medicin and neurological patient
• The surgical patient
• The trauma patients
• Minor damage and immobilisation, plaster
• Geriatric patient
• Women and children
• Psychiatric patient, intoxications and
  abuse
• Mental well-being, crisis situations,
  support,
  threatening situations

To attend this course students shall
have
accomplished all first, second and third
year
courses with a passing grade. Student must
attent
Krävande vård part 1 to be able to attend this
course.
