Competency aims

The aim of the course is that the student:
- have a basic knowledge of nutrition and the
nutrients effect
on health
- can apply his/her expertise and can design a
diet according to the
Finnish
nutrition recommendations

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student:
- knows the function of nutrients in the body
- knows the meaning of nutrients for the
lifestyle diseases
- knows the most common allergies and
intolerances
- knows the finnish nutrition recommendations
