The aim of this course is that you acquire
skills and competencies that will help you to
study purposefully, independently and
successfully at Arcada, and to develop in your
career management.

? You get an idea of what digital
competence means and the importance of
developing the competence during your studies

Information literacy
? You will be acquainted with Arcada's
library and learn the basics of information
retrieval to independently search for reliable
scientific information and literature for your
studies, e.g. course books and scientific
articles in the field of study.
? You gain skills in how to evaluate and
use the information you find, e.g. how to refer
to literature and research in your work without
risking violation or plagiarism.
