Competency aims

The aim of the course is to understand the child´s learning and developmental processes.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to
- clarify the learning processes of the child and see the meaning of play in children´s learning and developmental processes.
- reflect on how to notice and meet the needs of children in pedagogical work.
- show pedagogical skills in planning, realization and evaluation of pedagogical work.
- describe what social education means in a day-care environment.
