Competency aims
The aim of the course in Anatomy, physiology and pathology is to create an understanding of the structure of the human body and its healthy functioning and to give the skills needed to be able to recognize illness.
The aim of the course in Practical anatomy, 1p, is that the student is able to practice her/his knowledge in studies to come and in practice.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the Anatomy, physiology and pathology course, 4 cr, the student is expected to be able to:
-describe the structure of the human body and name the organs in Swedish and in scientific terms
-understand and shortly describe the functions of the different organ systems; the musculoskeletal system, the circulatory system, the respiratory system, the digestive system, the urinary system, the reproductive system, the endocrine organs, the nervous system, and the sense organs.
-be aware of the mechanisms for the development of disease
At the end of the course in practical anatomy, 1p the student is expected to understand how the different muscles work in different movements and be able to name them.
Course contents
Anatomy, physiology and pathology:
The structure and function of all organs of the human body and the development of illness.
Practical Anatomy:
The function and practical anatomy of the musculoskeletal system. Work-out. Analysis of movement.
