Competency aims
The aim is that student develops his ability to
identify relevant study design for his final
thesis. Student develops his ability to
distinguish different types of data and data
collection methods which can be used to find the
answer to the research question.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to choose appropriate design for the
thesis
identify appropriate population for the study
choose appropriate data collection method and
method for data analysis
consider and reflect on the ethical principles in
the thesis.

Examination 1 Presentation of plan for thesis
Examination 2 Opponens of another students plan
for thesis.
Examination 3 Participation in at least 5
presentations of thesis.
To pass the course all parts of the assessments
should be marked with passed.
