Competency aims

The aim of the course is:
- develop an understanding about the use of
business administration within the field of
expanding OT
- by using client participation and occupational
science, implement a creative/innovative plan
that supports well-being for an actual client
group and enables a sustainable engagement of
activities in every day life

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is able to:
- understand the basic principles for business
planning and product/service development
- use different kinds of models for marketing
research
- use trendwatching and benchmarking in case
example
- work from a client-/customer perspective in
case example
- develop a concept from scratch and present it
as a sales topic
- describe and argument for a meaningful concrete
idea

- identify a need for a project that reflects
occupational science and expand activity in an
organization etc.
- critically analyze and use literature and
research that supports the aim of the project
- from the perspective of client participation,
plan, implement and evaluate a project in
cooperation with working life
- show process and result of the project
- reflect the use of the result from the project
in other context within OT
- contribute to the blog at inside.arcada by
writing about own process of learning during the
course
