Course contents

The lectures will cover the following topics:
Molecules and compounds
Chemical Reactions and Quantities
Introduction to Solutions and Aqueous Reactions
Intermolecular Forces
Introduction to organic chemistry
Electrochemistry and Corrosion

The calculation and lab exercises will cover
the same topics as the lectures.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Laboratory Safety for Engineers, or current
participation in Technology and Learning.

Recommended or required reading

Lecture material provided in itslearning.
Much of this course is based upon the
textbook by Tro "Chemistry: Structure and
properties" (Pearson).
