Competency aims

The aim of the course is for the student to carry
out a small-scale investigation on a structural
and methodical way (literature review), and deepen
their knowledge of writing non-fiction with
clarity, linguistic accuracy and stylistic
clarity. The student deepens their knowledge of
how to critically examine and oppose a thesis.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student is
expected to be able to argue for their:
- data collection method and methodology to
processing and analyse their material.
- discuss and critically examine their work
and make comparisons to previous knowledge
in the field.
- present their findings at a seminar
in an objective manner.
- act as an opponent to another student
at a seminar.

Course contents

Group supervision, (material analysis,
reporting, opposition).
Presentation of own work and opposition of a
thesis.

Assessment requirements

For a passing grade the student must
take the following examinations:

- The work must be finally approved by
the work must be approved by the supervisor and
and the examiner,
- presentation of the work at the TF
(ThesisForum),
- the opponent's report and the opposition must be
approved,
- the maturity test must be passed
- the thesis must have passed
authentication
- entered on Theseus or bound according to
Arcada's instructions.
