The aims of this course are that:
- The student understands the aim of scientific
knowledge development in the area of
care/nursing - The student gains basic knowledge of
scientific
thinking and evidence-based practice - The student grasps the basics of information
retrieval and critical reviewing of scientific
publications - The student understands the concept of
nursing
metaparadigm - The student becomes familiar with different
caring-/nursing theories and models and is able
to understand the application of nursing theory

care value base professional ethics and how

govern professionalism in nursing
