The aim of the course is that the student gets an understanding for the birth of nursing/caring science, it´s structure and ethical fundaments

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to;
- understand the birth of nursing/caring science and see the nursing development from a historic perspective
- understand the structure in caring science and its ethos
- be aware of caring from the perspective of history of ideas
