Competency aims

The aim of the course is gain skills in linear
optimization for both continuous and binary
variables. Some basics in nonlinear problems and
how they can be used in practice.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able to...
- model in LP, MILP
- understand some optimization solvers
- understand the limitations of some
optimization solvers
- use optimization heuristics
- recognize certain optimization problems and
solve them
