The aim of the course is - provide the student
with ability to meet, understand and improve
wellbeing of the elderly with aesthetic and
spiritual interventions
- give basic knowledge in first aid and
microbiology

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to
- respect elderly clients as unique, developing
individuals with resources
- use different assessment tools in planning care
- reflect on her/his own activity in light of the
value foundation of elderly care and seeks to
retain her or his personal ethical sensitivity.
- establish a caring relationship based on
listening and interaction with the elderly client.
- realize the spiritual and aesthetic needs of
human beings
- apply the multiprofessional approach adopted
during studies in planning and performing care
- to act and evaluate the action's in emergencies
and accidents as well as in diseases
- know the basic facts about microbiology that is
needed in care
