Competency aims

By the end of the course the student will be
able to:

Develop knowledge of the fundamental concepts
within problem validation, value proposition,
lean development process, design thinking and
demo creation.

By actively reflecting during the course the
student finds possibilities to utilize her/his
know how in real challenges and to utilize
multiple development approaches, to put the
knowledge the student acquires in school into
practice.

Develop their working skills as well in
multidisciplinary and international teams as
industry collaboration.

At the end of the course you are expected to be
able...
1) to develop your skills in problem validation
and in developing meaningful value propositions
2) to learn teamwork and team building skills in
a multidisciplinary and international teams
3) to understand the characteristics of lean
development processes
4) to learn how to utilize design thinking
5) to learn to build concrete demos for
validation
6) to learn industry collaboration when working
with partner organisations domain experts

Course contents

Interested in meaningful, challenging topics of
the future? Want to put your expertise and
curiosity into practice? Grab the opportunity and
join a foresight project team in Demola. In Demola
projects you'll work in a globally distributed,
interdisciplinary team.

Demola is a global community of university
students, global organizations and foresight
experts, all driven by the desire to create
impact. With us, you?ll be able to build positive,
alternative futures. You?ll create future
scenarios and solutions with other talented and
motivated university students and Demola?s co-
creation experts.

Accepted students will work in global teams
together with our foresight experts for 8 weeks.
Together with your team, you will own the
intellectual property rights to your creations.
Participation is free, and you can gain ECTS
credit points after finishing the project.

Our experts will share their insights throughout
the project, and help you create a final report
for your portfolio in a workshop at the end of the
process.

Participants will be granted 5 ECTS credit
points through Finnish Higher Education System*
and a certificate from Demola Global.

Students participating in this course will get
Pass/Fail grades.

arguments why Demola should choose you to those
projects, try to focus e.g. on these topics:

different projects that Demola offeres, choose
