Competency aims

The aim of the course is to provide the student
with a thorough understanding of the fundamental
principles of thermodynamics.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to analyse energy transformations in
open and closed systems by means of mass- and
energy balances.

- Turbins, compressors and pumps
- The Carnot-process
- Refrigerators and heat pumps
